A couple of years ago I had a conversation with a friend of mine who is in his 70’s. We had just finished a discussion with a larger group of people around things we would like to do or wish we had done.
During the larger conversation my friend didn’t say a word. He listened intently and seemed to be engaged even though he didn’t offer anything. As the group began to break up and go their separate ways we ended up next to each other reviewing the discussion. I commented to him that I noticed he didn’t say anything but seemed greatly intrigued.
He looked up at me with something in his eyes. I’m not sure if it was fear, disappointment, anger or what, but it was definitely a look. He glanced away and said that he had a dream but that he was simply too old now. I asked him if he would tell me what the dream was. He glanced back up at me with that same look and then his eyes softened.
He told me the dream. I’m not going to tell you as it might reveal him to some of you who read this. His dream is one that is not age dependent in any way. He could still fulfill this dream if he wanted to go for it. I think of his dream every time I see him. We’ve talked about it a time or two and I’ve tried to encourage him but he continues to place this limitation on himself.
I thought of my friend when I saw this video the other day. It’s just shy of ten minutes but consider it an investment of your time. I think you’ll find it well worth it.

So, how do you know when you’re too old or too young or too tall or too short or too…..? You’re not.
Have a STRONG and COURAGEOUS day!

Great post Dave! I loved it & I absolutely loved the video. It was a wonderful lesson in the power of our perception & belief! Thanks!
