As I delve into my studies of fear and courage I become more fascinated by how much both of these topics affect most everyone most every day. While they affect most of us, we spend very little time talking to others about it because of our fear and lack of courage to address them. We all want to present a good front that we have it all together.
Last week I had the chance to view two videos that relate to courage. The first is a look at the biology of courage. Who knew?! I believe you only hear the word courage twice in the video but the impact is powerful. Thanks to my friend, Vaughn, for sending this one to me.
The second video is a simple, fun little story of some young boys who had the courage to connect with their neighbor. There’s nothing dramatic here other than recognizing that we have the opportunity to be courageous every day. Courage involves a risk and a reward. These young boys were willing to take a risk and they were rewarded with something that, even at my age, I would remember for the rest of my life.
As you saw in the first video, courage leads to better health. What are you going to do courageously this week that will impact your health? As you saw in the second video, being courageous can lead to a pretty cool story. What are you doing courageously this week to give you a great story?
Have a STRONG and COURAGEOUS day!
