One of the biggest challenges for me in running my own business is the promotion piece. It just feels awkward to promote myself.
I am slowly learning to recognize that I do have something valuable to offer to companies, organizations and individuals through my speaking, coaching and training.
So this is a blog about self-promotion regardless of how awkward it makes me feel. This is the premier of my new promo video on my website.
I owe a great deal of thanks to many people who helped create this. Thank you to Mike Nead and Adam Zuehlke for taking the footage at an early morning presentation in December. Thank you to Scott Plum and the Professional Sales Association for allowing me to have the presentation taped during their meeting. Thank you to Diane Windingland, Sara Socwell, Vaughn Kavlie and David Downing for their unrehearsed testimonials following my presentation. Finally, thank you to my brother, Tom and his company Sharkbait Productions, for editing the footage into what you now see.
In summary, I love to work with companies, organizations and individuals that are going through change or need to cultivate some courage to keep moving in the right direction. I love to take the cover off the elephant in the room and facilitate eating that elephant one bite at a time. If you’ve got a meeting or an event coming up and need some inspiration or someone to help you look at things from a different viewpoint I’d love to visit with you.
What do you do well that you feel awkward about telling others? What are your gifts and talents that can make a difference in the lives of others do you keep under wraps? Yeah, it’s a bit awkward to bring them up but those gifts and talents aren’t about you but about the people you encounter each and every day!
Have a STRONG and COURAGEOUS day!
