I’m frustrated with myself.
One of my goals for 2015 was, and continues to be, to reach a certain weight goal by a certain date. As I have written about before I have not been much of a goal setter in my life.
I’m now a month into the pursuit of this goal and I haven’t lost a pound. Can you understand why I’m frustrated? Not a single pound.
I am even more frustrated because I know why. I haven’t really changed anything. I am where I am, and will continue to be, unless I change some things.
Albert Einstein said it best. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
If you’re like me you’re bored with that overused quote. I’m sick of hearing it.
Most of my distaste for the quote has nothing to do with its overuse. My distaste for the quote is that it is too accurate in too many areas in my life.
I’m a guy filled with great intentions. I am working on being a guy of great action. I have taken great action on several of the goals I have set for 2015. It’s time to take some action on this one.
How about you? Do you have the courage to look in the mirror and realize that you are where you are because you continue to do the same things over and over?
Do you have the courage to begin to do something different? Courage is about doing things that are uncomfortable. Do you have the courage to be uncomfortable?
What will you do today that is different from the norm for you, that will make you feel uncomfortable?
Thanks, Albert.
I’ll keep you posted.

Have a STRONG and COURAGEOUS day!
Hi Dave! We missed you at basketball this morning! Mainly because we had 10 which meant no subs! Just kidding! Hope to see you soon! Troy
Thanks, Troy! I missed being there. On Wednesday I could feel my hamstring about to pop. I’ve been stretching it since but I can still feel it. I’m sure I’ll be there on Monday! It sucks to get old!
